TURN UP THE HEAT ON CHARLES HURWITZ

Charles Hurwitz and MAXXAM Corp. are on trial for their role in the largest Savings and Loan Failure in Texas. Hurwitz and MAXXAM looted United Savings Association of Texas and TAXPAYERS PAID $1.6 BILLION DOLLARS FOR THIS S & L BAILOUT. Hurwitz used his ill-gotten gains to takeover both the ancient redwoods of Pacific Lumber and Kaiser Aluminum. Both companies once treated their employees well. Now, Hurwitz keeps both in massive debt for his personal gain. Steelworkers have been on strike against MAXXAM's Kaiser Aluminum 4 months for decent pay, pension fund and job security. Environmentalists have been protesting Hurwitz for the last 12 years over clearcutting ancient redwoods, looting the working pension, violations of federal statutes, etc.

CHARLES HURWITZ IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE $1.6 BILLION AND SHOULD REIMBURSE THE FULL AMOUNT TO AMERICAN PEOPLE. UNIONS AND ENVIRONMENTALISTS ARE BUILDING BRIDGES TOGETHER TO FIGHT CORPORATE GREED.
